RITA-3 is the first large-scale clinical trial designed to test an initial conservative strategy (medical therapy) versus an initial interventional strategy (angiography) in patients with unstable angina or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction.

  

    

Recruitment for the RITA-3 trial is now complete.  The last patient was recruited on 2nd October 2001, and the total number recruited was 1810.
